If you are already skilled at this you may do it on your own or with a friend. If you need experience you may want to find a professional painter to be an assistant to. Painting takes longer than other jobs. You can expect to spend 1-2 days painting a room and up to 3-5 days painting a house. Always be sure that you have the right paint and brushes or rollers to do a good job. When painting you will sometimes need to remove wallpaper or old paint and patch holes or cracks before starting. You will want to tape all areas that you do not wish to paint such as windows and door frames. If you are going to paint these as well you will paint them last. When working with furniture you may need to sandpaper before painting or staining. Always remember to clean up after yourself and wash your brushes clean with the turpentine so you will be ready for your next job.
