Breeding animals can
be a lot of fun, but it also takes a lot of time and hard
work. Make sure you have the permission from your parents
before taking on a task such as this. Remember you will
be working with live animals that require constant attention
and supervision. Many pet stores will buy smaller baby animals
such as hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, rabbits and fish.
These animals do not take up as much room in your house
and can be sold to the pet stores at a fairly early age.
If you choose to breed dogs and cats they should be papered,
meaning proof they are a pure breed like a Boxer, Chow Chow
or Dalmatian and not a mutt or mixed breed. Preferably you
will have the female and then you will also need to find
someone who has a good male of the same breed also papered.
If you only have the male you can still make a lesser amount
of money by having him breed with someone else's female,
and you do not have to do any work.
