In serving others you
get the satisfaction from helping others to accomplish tasks
and make them happy. If you are good at reading perhaps
you could read a book, magazine, newspaper or mail to an
elderly person who can't see very well anymore. Or you can
help people who are in wheelchairs, blind or with any other
disability do things. For example get drinks or food for
them, help clean their house or move from room to room.
Sometimes the elderly or invalids just need someone to spend
time with and play a game. Many people have younger children,
you could offer to baby sit for them. You should always
have the parents give you the phone numbers where they are
going to be and tell you about any special needs, such as
any allergies or if you need to feed them and what to make.
Another job that you could do is to tutor others in your
class if you are really good at the subject or others who
are younger than you. These jobs will generally be for people
that you know, who live close by. With all these jobs you
will need to find out what the local going rate is by asking
others or calling places that work with the elderly or with
invalids.
